Hotel Seahorse Point Nature Reserve is a regeneration project involving the local community and where profit goes back into community economic development projects. We are following and trialling the B Corp model of profit for purpose. This former small hotel and the 10 acres that surround it represented an opportunity for Howard, Diane and their team to work with the local community, learn and plan together on the best way to regenerate this very special place for people and to bring back more endemic plants and animals.

Fully curated vacation to ensure you see the best of Bocas del Toro

A local team from the Nyobe indigenous people and other long-term residents of Bocas del Toro have come together to craft and curate a unique, full-board experience in and around nature that you are unlikely to experience elsewhere in Bocas del Toro. Combined with the determination to demonstrate how each and every one of us can do something to support biodiversity, coupled with a love and knowledge of science and respect for local culture, visitors can listen and hear nature at its happiest, as well as share great food, have fun and generally go to bed at night having had a fulfilling and fascinating day.

As we learn more about the plants, culture and art of the region, we seek to share the things we discover in what we hope is an interesting and respectful manner. For example, our rooms are named and decorated to celebrate Nyobe culture and language. The beautiful bedroom murals, painted by artist and international surfer Isobel Campos, include only plants that are found in the garden, and you'll find a guide to their names in each of the rooms. With 100% organic cotton bedding and lovely non-toxic and handmade soaps and shampoo bars, the team are striving to demonstrate our drive and commitment to being nature positive and a non-toxic environment.

All our rooms have the breathtaking view over Bahia Honda and up to Isla Caranero and Pauch Beach on Isla Colon. More often than not, there is a refreshing northerly ocean breeze, and your elevated site means that your balcony provides a perfect spot for quiet observation of the unique island vibe from our corner of the archipelago.
