Trails & Forest Walks
Our 3 km trail system is entirely flat, with no steep climbs or difficult terrain, making it easy to focus on the surrounding nature.
- Accessible Gravel Trails (1.5 km): Weather-proof and safe for everyone, even in the rain.
- Raw Jungle Paths (1.5 km): Clear but natural paths that offer an authentic trek; these can be slippery when wet.
Wildlife & Nature Highlights
-
Mangrove Boardwalk: Skip the boat tours—our boardwalk guarantees sloth sightings. We are called Sloth Point by tour boats; you may also spot anteaters, raccoons, "Jesus Christ" lizards, iguanas, parrots and eagles (and many more)
- Safety Note: There are no poisonous snakes on Bastimentos Island.
- Tropical Gardens & Pond: Home to at least three caimans, along with various dragonflies, fish, and frogs.
- The Treenet: Relax 20 metres up in the canopy for a unique, "chilled" perspective among the branches.
- Food Forest: Visit Casita Liana, our educational work-in-progress featuring great views and local flora.
Water Activities
- Kayaks & Sailing: Available for an additional fee to cover the cost of a required safety boat.
